Alex Pfeffer

I studied at the Los Angeles College of Music from 1998, then came back to Germany to build a career in media music.

My music has run under film trailers for Pacific Rim, Sherlock Holmes and Harry Potter, and inside games including Company of Heroes 3, Crysis 2, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, ANNO 1404 and The Settlers VII. It has been used in more than 3,800 television shows worldwide.

I have written for production music houses including Two Steps from Hell, Epic Score and Dynamedion, and worked alongside Mick Gordon, Trevor Morris and Frank Peterson.

After twenty years of this work you learn where the time actually goes, and how little of it is spent writing music. That is why I build software as well: small, affordable things that hand a few of those hours back to the people doing the creative work.
